Jingjing Tong focuses on cross-border commercial transactions and dispute resolution. She regularly advises large state-owned enterprises, private companies, and cross border clients on M&A and restructuring, commercial arbitration and litigation, compliance, and due diligence matters. Her practice is particularly focused on China and North America cross border matters, with systematic experience in construction disputes, cross border equity structuring, and M&A transactions. Ms. Tong is fully bilingual in Chinese and English and is familiar with the differences between PRC and international legal systems, enabling her to deliver efficient and professional cross-border legal services.
Representative Cases and Projects
Represented a client in an equity dispute arbitration before the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC);
Represented a Hong Kong securities firm in litigation before the Beijing Financial Court;
Advised a PRC client on the proposed acquisition of equity interests in an overseas food production company;
Represented a major state owned construction enterprise in arbitration arising from a construction contract dispute with a real estate developer, completing contract clause analysis, risk assessment, and arbitration strategy design;
Represented a construction project owner in litigation over a construction payment dispute involving a multi-tier subcontracting chain, leading the defense strategy and legal argumentation;
Advised clients on the establishment of offshore structures across multiple jurisdictions including the BVI, the Cayman Islands, Hong Kong, and Singapore, covering core issues such as indirect equity transfer and CRS compliance.
